Target Group:

  1. Direct beneficiaries: 100 SHGs in 20 villages -1198 women, 1000 girls
  2. Indirect beneficiaries: 6000 villagers, 4000 children in school going age groups
  3. 4000 women and 2000 men, 2500 girls and 1500 boys

Program Location: Sheikhpura, Bihar.

Purpose of the project / Program Overview:

This project aims to empower girls and women from the most deprived families by providing intensive non-residential training to build their skills and capacities. Many of these young women face barriers to education and employment due to extreme poverty, and their families cannot afford tuition, study materials, or travel for coaching. By addressing these challenges, the project will equip them with the knowledge and skills needed for jobs, helping to alleviate poverty and inequality. Additionally, the project will support the stabilization of 100 Self-Help Groups (SHGs), promoting self-reliance and connecting women to government schemes and entitlements.

Expected Results:

  • Women’s participation in decision making 75%-80%
  • Better understanding and collaboration among Federation Members. The results are the situations achieved through the execution of the activities.
  • Leadership in Federation first and secondary level
  • Villagers actively participating in all aspects of their lives. Take charge of the development
  • To develop positive self-image, self-worth, and awaken awareness of women’s personhood and possibilities

  • Better appreciation and acceptance of their body, Sexuality and feminine gifts
  • exhibit culture appropriate and gender sensitive reflection and information toward responsible and safe reproductive health behavior and healthy family life and respond to local issues affecting their lives
  • Better motivation in women to be a leaven in the society to ensure values of justice, peace, equality, sharing, respect for life and liberty
  • Show encourages networking with other women’s groups and people’s movements
  • Better SHG functioning and income Generating Activities in 20 villages
  • 600 girls complete digital literacy classes
  • Girls use the life skills for their personality development.
