Target Group: Children (0 to 8 years) suffering with Cerebral Palsy.
Program Location: Raxual, East Champaran Bihar.
Purpose of the project / Program Overview:
The “SHINE” project, launched on 1st April 2025 in Raxaul, East Champaran, is dedicated to supporting 50 children with Cerebral Palsy (CP). The initiative offers a blend of home-based therapy, centre-based therapy, parental counselling, capacity building, and community sensitization. The project covers 08 panchayats and 21 villages and works directly with 50 CP children (31 males and 19 females).
Impact:
- Therapy centre in Raxaul equipped with equipment required for the Cerebral Palsy rehabilitation therapy.
- Continuous Home-based therapy (50 children 2 times therapy a week) and centre-based therapy (Weekly once per child).
- Medical consultations and essential medicines for 32 children.
- Training for 50 parents/ caregiver identification and holistic care practices- 6 times conducted.
- Training to Nurses posted to labor room and involved in delivery process- 2 times conducted.
- Recreation activity (therapeutic benefit) for selected children- 2 times conducted.
